ANIMOTO is a great online video production tool that automatically pulls in content from other web 2.0 ish sites like Flickr and Facebook to make a cool photo montage worthy of your respect. So bow before ANIMOTO! It’s also fun to say, “ANIMOTO ! ANIMOTO !”.
But silliness aside this site is very easy to use. Sign up is a breeze, integration with my flikr account made it a snap to create the video below. The music was picked from the site’s library so I don’t have to worry about the R.I.A.A. Nazis banging down my door in the middle of the night. So to all our clients out there I recommend that you give this a go - its a great way to show case 15 of you best photos in a snappy 30 spot.
If you want to create longer videos you can do so for $3 US a pop or for $30 US a year you can do as many as you want, and includes the ability to download the video to your computer use this promo code qoayjhbd and get $5 dollars off an All-Access Pass. http://animoto.com

Adobe Systems opened up Photoshop Express on Thursday, its an online image editor aimed at the flickr crowd and the folks that would be in the fickr crowd.
The application is great and for me it was a breeze to use, but it may not be obvious to anyone not familiar with the world of photoediting
Photoshop Express, available for free with 2 gigabytes of storage at www.photoshop.com/express, it’ll take a while to develop a community like flickr but if the Yahoo Microsoft merger happens I am sure there will be more than a few people who make the move over from flickr.
But may be not.
In my case I have to much invested in flickr and that 2 gigabytes wont cut it for my photo collection. I just hope that this spurs on Yahoo to kick some money at flickr so that they can add all the fancy crap that’ll keep the shiny new things crowd.

So Hulu launched last week when I was over hauling the blog so I did not get to break the news the day before and earn my fake street cred wit my imgnary readers, yeah Mr you now how you are.
Man I really wanted to love this thing, free tv on my PC, at work, in a buss, on a train , but FTA rules say not on a plan! What’s not to love, well from my humble point of view a few key things are.
First what’s up with all the clips, I can understand watching Lazy Sunday or a dick in a box a million time because it’s a full comedy skit but who wants to re-watch a clip from Monk or House, you’ve sent it once your just wasting time watching house bitch about a half dead patient or Monk rearranging some dead dudes fork draw - god I wish those crappy writers were still on strike!
Secondly Hulu has on real organization to it, just go to The Arrested Development page and in the top fold of the screen you get thumbnail options of shows, I dig the thumbnails, that are all mixed up you can scroll though them and only find episode 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8 of season one. Where are the rest!!!
Damn it you may not realize it but they have them hidden well down the page with no indication to the user that they have to scroll - poor design - most folks, not you Mr Power Surfer, don’t scroll if they don’t have an obvious visual cue to.
Any how free tv is a good step forward - I don’t mind watching the adds just on broadcast, I would like to have the option to by the show on iTunes and I do think that they need to make sure that not only do the have all the content organized an available but they need to make the site more user friendly.

I was using CamStudio http://camstudio.org/, but I had problems with compression rates and the video and audio settings were not user friendly at all.So for now I am using a free trial of Camtasia Studio, http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp, and looking to a cheaper alternative hopefully before the 30 day trial period expires.
I think that the next product I’ll experiment with will be Jing http://www.jingproject.com/

One of the cool things about the web is its capacity, neigh its ability to take the real world and digitize it.
Many of the real world jobs have been replaced by trading information online, spying and industrial espionage can be done safely from a computer in Beijing.
Most of the CIA’s work is done by analysts whom comb the web for information from a cubicle with the Dilbert doll and a Hang in there Kitty poster on the wall, if you were able to walk in on them you’d think you were at an AT&T call center….

So the latest rumor to hit the web is that the hugely successful social network DIGG.com is being bid on by the giants Google and Microsoft, I say Kevin Rose take the money and run!
Honestly the social networks seem to have a shelf life of cheese, not the good European type either, I believe that Kevin would be nuts to listen to the 12 year olds in his forum that are pleading for him not to sell.
These kids have never had to earn or paycheck or paying the bill and they’re giving financial advice, HA!
